| JJDA NOMINATED FOR BEST TAP PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR JJDA's Senior Small Group Tap dance, "Long Train Runnin" was the undefeated top scoring routine at every competition during the 2012 season. The dance was also nominated for Best Tap Performance of the Year by Kids Artistic Review. JJDA was selected from over 20,000 group routines performed at competitions across the country for this honor. |
| MEGAN PETERSON Megan, a Radio City Rockette, graduated from JJDA in 2010. Megan fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a Rockette in 2012. She is currently on tour performing the Christmas Spectacular in St. Louis, Dallas and Chicago. |
| EMILY PHILLIPS Emily appeared on national television this summer, receiving a coveted "Ticket to Vegas" on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance. Emily, who graduated from JJDA in 2010, is studying theater and has a starring role each summer in Edison's Plays in the Park. |
| DANIELLE BYAM, CARLY POPPE & STEPHANIE WNEK Our students are very lucky to have these talented JJDA graduates on the faculty. Ms. Carly joined the faculty this year and specializes in teaching our younger students. Ms. Danielle teaches many of our younger students as well as Company stretch and technique classes. Ms. Stephanie teaches our advanced Hip Hop dancers. |
| JESSICA STAGGARD Jessica, a 2008 JJDA graduate, is a member of the Jets Flight Crew. Jess can be seen dancing on national television throughout the NFL season. In 2012 she was chosen to travel to Hawaii and represent the Flight Crew at the Pro-Bowl. |
| MARION DAVIDSON & KELLY PETERSON Our most recent JJDA graduates are pursuing their love of dance in college. Marion's hard work as a JJDA student study dance at Adelphi University in New York. Kelly was accepted into the prestigious Commercial Dance and Musical Theater programs at Pace University in New York. |
| STUDENTS WIN SCHOLARSHIPS AT WILD DANCE INTENSIVE Members of the JJDA Dance Company attended the Wild Dance Intensive in Atlantic City in October 2012. Congratulations to Savannah Schuermann and Emily Sheppard who won scholarships at the event. Congratulations to Tash Crudup who won a scholarship to attend all Wild Conventions in 2013 and assist the faculty on tour. |
